The CipherLab 1662 is a pocket-size Bluetooth® laser barcode scanner – smaller and lighter than a mobile phone (113 × 45 × 30 mm, 100 g) – built for healthcare, field sales, field service and inventory work. Its laser engine reads 1D barcodes at 100 scans per second from 2 to 42 cm, Bluetooth gives you up to 20 m of freedom of movement, and the 4 MB memory stores over 240,000 scans when you work away from the host. The user-replaceable 850 mAh battery lasts up to 35 hours. This version, A1662LBSNUN01, is the USB kit: it comes with the battery, a Micro USB cable and a wrist strap and pairs directly with your smartphone, tablet or Bluetooth-equipped PC – no base or dongle needed.

• Pairs with phones, tablets and PCs – Bluetooth® 2.1 + EDR Class 2 with up to 20 m line-of-sight range; works as a Bluetooth keyboard (HID) with iOS, Android and Windows devices, or in SPP mode with apps.
• Plug and play with the 3610 dongle – the CipherLab 3610 USB dongle (included with A1662LBKTUN01, optional for A1662LBSNUN01) connects the scanner to any PC as a USB keyboard or virtual COM port; up to 7 scanners can share one dongle.
• Memory scanner with time stamp – 4 MB of flash memory stores over 240,000 scans for offline stocktaking, each with date and time; a 10 KB buffer keeps up to 600 scans when you are out of range and sends them automatically when you are back.
• Long-lasting, replaceable battery – the 850 mAh Li-ion battery lasts up to 35 hours (1 scan every 5 s), charges in about 3 hours via Micro USB and can be swapped in seconds.
• Built for mobile work – IP42 sealing and multiple 1.5 m drops onto concrete; a protective rubber boot and a protective cover are available as accessories.
• Easy configuration – symbologies, data editing, interface and 14 keyboard languages are set up with setup barcodes or the free Windows-based CipherLab ScanMaster software.
